Hosted by the Manitoba Ombudsman's office (click here to learn more about the hosts), the 2016 Manitoba Connections Access, Privacy, Security and Information Management Conference is a regionally-based conference intended to assist public bodies and trustees in developing connections between these disciplines and in addressing the associated challenges.
Access, privacy, security and information management challenges are intertwined with almost everything that Manitoba public sector employees do. Manitoba Connections recognizes the benefits that can be gained by breaking down the silos and bringing these information disciplines together in one conference. Through a series of plenary, breakout and workshop sessions, delegates will gain a clearer understanding of access to information, protection of privacy, information security, and information management issues that may arise in organizations subject to FIPPA and PHIA.
